Cake Information
CAKE INFORMATION
I am based in Thatcham, near Newbury in West Berkshire. All cakes are made fresh to order by myself using only the best ingredients. I do not buy in cakes, nor do I use cake mixes.
Design
Give me a call and we can discuss your requirements. The design can be as simple or as complex as you wish. For a wedding we can make your cake to coordinate with your wedding colours. It can be a traditional cake or a contemporary one, the choice is yours. Every cake I make is made with love and attention to detail.
Flavours:
Choose from:
Rich fruit
Light fruit
Vanilla sponge
Lemon sponge
Chocolate sponge
Marble cake
Carrot
Coffee and walnut
Decoration
Maybe you would like sugar flowers or models on your cake.
I make all my sugar flowers and models. Please be aware though that sometimes they will contain wires or supports which will make them inedible. They can, however, be kept as a reminder of your special occasion.
Ordering
All cakes
As every cake is a bespoke cake for you, I price each one individually.
Wedding
Please call to arrange a free consultation. This will include a tasting session to help you decide which flavour or flavours you would like to decide on. It would be helpful if as much notice as possible could be given, especially if you are ordering a rich fruit cake. Ideally they need to mature for 2-3 months. In fact to avoid disappointment, why not order as soon as you have set your wedding date.
If you decide that you would like me to make your cake for you, a non-returnable 20% deposit would be required to reserve your wedding date.
The final balance will be due 1 month before your wedding date. As this is a very busy time for you, I will send an email reminder.
I regret that cakes cannot be released unless full payment has been received and cleared. Payment may be by cash, cheque with guarantee card, or by BACS.
Other occasions
Please call to discuss your requirements. Two week's notice for a sponge cake will be adequate but obviously as much notice as possible is best to avoid disappointment. However, if you decide on a cake at short notice, please give me a call, as I may well be able to help you.
The full balance of the cake is payable on collection of the cake. I regret that cakes cannot be released unless full payment has been received and cleared.
